我以前自負
覺得自己聰明 可以一心二用
一邊聽講 一邊寫趕著交的作業
一邊吃飯 一邊收看電視連續劇
同時間左手畫方 右手畫圓
更誇張的是
我能同時聽餐桌上兩個朋友講述兩件事情
.
我發現那不是一心二用
心只有不可分割的一體
專心 就是專注於唯一一件事情
那些我以為的一心二用
充其量是心快速地在兩個頻道之間切換
資訊如虛線般斷斷續續
再不靠譜地用常識填補缺乏當中的空白
.
走路 專心地走
飲食 專心地品
運動 專心感受
世界竟然變得單純 快樂也不請自來
.
I had faith in myself.
I thought I was clever enough to multitask.
Doing homework while attending the lecture
Having meal while watching soap opera
Drawing a circle on the left while drawing a square on the right
Even listening to two friends chatting on different topics
.
I found it wasn’t multitasking
A heart can’t be divided in parts
Attentive is to focus on the task at hand
I was merely switching between two channels when I “multitasked”, connecting the dotted lines with common sense
.
Focus on walking when you walk
Focus on tasting when you eat and drink
Focus on feeling it when you exercise
You’ll find the world becomes purer, and happiness follows.
